Legend has it that Valentine’s Day is based on the story of a Priest, Saint Valentine.  The Roman Emperor Claudius II had enacted a law, allegedly ordering that young men remain single in order to grow his army, believing that married men did not make for good soldiers.  Valentine, however, secretly performed marriage ceremonies for young men anyway.  Upon finding this out, and having Saint Valentine try to convert him to Christianity, The Emperor had Valentine thrown in jail and sentenced to execution.  Before his execution, Valentine was reported to have performed a miracle by healing the blind daughter of his jailer and wrote the very first “Valentine”  card himself, to the blind daughter of the jailer, signed “From your Valentine.”

Historical facts show that no romantic elements are present in the original early medieval biographies of any of the martyrs that Valentine’s Day is said to honor.

Thought it would be fun to line up all the Lambos at the shop and share our impromptu photo shoot!  Not every day you get to see this many different Lambos in one spot!  We have 9 Lambos lined up here ranging from a countach to an lp640, with diablos and gallardos and a tt 560 as well!  Enoy!

Famous Autosports & Spa Pros teamed up for the California State Park Foundation‘s 14th Annual Earth Day Restoration and Clean Up at Malibu Lagoon on April 16th, 2011.  Projects included; graffiti and debris removal, trail maintenance and the re-installation of a water-conserving shower.  As other volunteer groups worked on graffiti and debris removal, we worked on trail maintenance and the re-installation of a water-conserving shower.  For more information on CSPF’s 14th Annual Earth Day Events click here.

Please check out this AWESOME event going on this Saturday at Hollywood Park.  If you can’t make it this Saturday the next event is coming up in January (tentatively set for Saturday, January 22nd, 2010).

The ABR is a brand new, innovative form of auto racing created by professional stuntmen for the non-professional, auto racing enthusiasts.  Competitors must have the ability to pitch, slide, and power their vehicle around three 55 gallon barrels spaced 100 feet apart in a straight line.  It is a ‘Run What You Brung’ type of event with Dragsters against Difters, Imports against Domestics, and more!  There is no other form of auto racing like it in the world!  Check out AutoBarrelRacing.com for more information!

For those that do not know, the 11-99 Foundation is a  non-profit, charitable organization that provides emergency benefits to CHP employees and their families in times of crisis.  11-99 is the radio code used by the CHP when an officer needs assistance.  Since it’s beginning in 1981 the organization has raised over $18 million in support.  On Sunday, September 12, 2010 the 8th Annual Car Drive had a great turn out of over 280 cars and raised over $170k in support!  Registration for the 9th Annual Car Drive, which will be help September 11, 2010, starts in March.  Drive safe!

SuperCar Sunday presents the 1st Annual Ferrari vs Lamborghini Challenge this Sunday September 5, 2010!  Presented and sponsored by The Auto Gallery, Supercar Sunday is a weekly event where car enthusiasts meet to share their magnificent vehicles and fellowship, thanks to the organization efforts of Dustin Troyan.

Famous Autosports meets up for a photo shoot to showcase L4P member’s Gallardo Spyder with newly installed vertical doors, Hamann Body Kit & several carbon parts, as well as the GoldRush Rally Gallardo. We started out overlooking the San Fernando Valley and then finished up with some shots at the shop.  Thanks to Tram Tran Photography for the AMAZING pictures!
